
Actions in past/ regrets Consequence
The third conditional is use to express regrets for some actions you did or did not do in the past.
Goofy didn´t pay attention = He fell on the street
If Goofy had paid attention, he wouldn´t have fallen on the street.
1. I didn´t study for the test = I failed the exam
2. Gina woke up late = Gina missed the bus
3. I didn´t go to school = I didn´t learn how to use the new expressions
4. I committed a crime = I had to stay in jail for 2 days
5. Peter smoked a lot of cigarettes when he was young = He had emphysema
6. I ate lots of junk food as a child = I was overweight
